Paul's Trek 100 Page: Kickin' Pediatric Cancer Since the 20th Century!!!
I started riding the Trek 100 “Ride for Hope” back in the 1990s. Since that first ride 25 years ago, I’ve raised almost $40,000 for research into the causes and prevention of childhood cancer.
Although the MACC fund holds events of all sorts throughout the year, The Trek 100 is its biggest annual fundraiser: since 1990 this single annual event has raised $16.2 million in net proceeds towards pediatric cancer research. The MACC Fund has played an important role in raising the overall cure rate for childhood cancer from 20% to 80% since the organization's founding in 1976.
What makes this ride so special and successful, of course, is YOU: it’s your support and generosity that help to motivate me year after year! My sincerest thanks to each and every one of you for once again sponsoring my personal Trek 100 challenge on June 6!
