Dear Friends and Family,
I am looking forward to August 22. It will be a powerful day when my family and I will participate in the 31st Annual Trek 100. My fellow cyclists and I will ride for hope when we ride from home this year. This bike ride benefits the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.) which is a great charity dedicated to helping children battling cancer and blood disorders like aplastic anemia and sickle cell disease. The Trek 100 is the largest annual fund-raiser in the 43-year history of the MACC Fund. It has helped raise $16.3 million since 1990.
I am asking you to consider donating to the cause with a contribution to the MACC Fund.
Thanks to events like the Trek 100, the MACC Fund has been able to contribute over $65 million to research since 1976, playing an important role in helping to raise the overall cure rate for childhood cancer from 20% to 80% during this time. Yet kids can still relapse and have “late effect” issues, which require more research.
