Welcome to Jim's Trek 100 Page
Hi everyone,
Please consider joining me with either your bike, a simple donation, or both (preferred!) this June as we all hope to find a cure and eradicate childhood cancer and blood disorders. I'm riding the 100 miles, but there are other routes to choose from if you want to join me in Waterloo! I have had the privilege to ride the Trek 100 nine previous times (maybe 10 or 11?)- some in 100+ humid sunshine, some in severe thunderstorms (naturally thinking the lightning won't hit us), some in light rain, and some in boring, sunny conditions. Not only is riding for this amazing cause a truly inspirational and emotional experience, but donating to the MACC Fund is something we can all feel good about. Please help out where you can this June and give a little of your time and/or money for this exceptional event!
The MACC Fund has contributed over $65 million to pediatric cancer research since 1976 and has played an important role in raising the overall cure rate for childhood cancer from 20% to 80% in that time. Yet, even children in the 80% category can still relapse and have ‘late effect’ issues which requires additional research.
Thank you for supporting my personal Trek 100 challenge on June 6th!
